ÀÌ Ã¥Àº ÄáÀÇ À̿뿪»ç¸¦ ºñ·ÔÇÏ¿© Äá°ú °ü·ÃµÈ °í°íÇÐÀû À¯¹°, À¯Àû, ¾ß»ýÄáÀÇ ºÐÆ÷¿Í Àç¹è À°Á¾ ¿ª»ç, ÄáÀÇ ¼ººÐ°ú ±â´É¼º, ÄáÀ» ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ À½½Ä°ú ½Ä´Ü, ÄáÀÇ »ê¾÷Àû ÀÌ¿ë°ú »ý»ê À¯Åë ÇöȲ°ú Àü¸Á±îÁö ±¹³»¿ÜÀÇ ÀڷḦ Á¾ÇÕÀûÀ¸·Î ¼ö·ÅÇÑ Âü°í¼ÀÌ´Ù. 2015³â ÀÌ Ã¥À» ¿µ¹®È Çϱâ À§ÇØ ¹Ì±¹ ÇϹöµå´ëÇÐ ´ëÇпø¿¡¼ Çѱ¹¹®ÇÐÀ» Àü°øÇÑ ´ÙÀ̾Ƴª ¿¡¹Ý½º(Diana Evans)¾¾¿¡°Ô ¹ø¿ªÀ» ¿äûÇÏ¿© 1³â¿©¿¡ °ÉÄ£ ¿Á¤ÀûÀÎ ÀÛ¾÷À¸·Î ¼¼°è¿¡ ³»³õ°Ô µÇ¾ú´Ù.With the support of research funds from the Daesan Agricultural Foundation in 1998, this work began with a study written by Kwon Tai-wan, Kwon Sin-han, Lee Cherl-ho, and Hong Eun-hi, ¡°The feasibility study on the establishment of a World Soybean Center,¡± which began an all-inclusive research project into the history and scientific development of soybeans. In 2005 the committee, which included most of the major soybean specialists in the country, published the book Soybeans(15 chapters, 794 pages, published by Korea University Press). This reference work gathered all the information in Korea and abroad regarding the historical uses of soybeans, including ancient artifacts and remains, the early dispersion of wild soybeans, the history of cultivation, the nutritional profile of soybeans, soybean functionality, various foods and meals that use soybeans, and the present conditions and outlook of industrial uses and production distribution. In 2015 the catalogue was translated into English by Diana Evans, who did graduate work in Korean Literature at Harvard University, and one year later the work of so many is now presented to the world.
